You can skip the Chinese takeout tonight because this recipe for BBQ Sweet Chili Glazed Drumsticks is going to absolutely blow your mind! Trust me, if finger lickin’ was an olympic sport, you’d be gold medalists after you’re through with these bad boys!

  • 2 lbs. Chicken Drumsticks

  • The Butcher’s Cut BUTCHER’S BLEND AP Rub

  • 9 oz. Thai Kitchen Sweet Chili Glaze

  • Diced Green Onions(for garnish)

  1. Start by seasoning up the drumsticks with the BUTCHER’S BLEND AP Rub.

  2. Next, lay drumsticks on a sheet pan or rack and place in the fridge uncovered for 4 hours. This will allow the flavor to soak in as well as dry out the skin so your chicken comes out crispier when cooking!

  3. Next, fire up your BBQ pit to 250F and cook drumsticks for 45 minutes.

  4. Flip drumsticks over and cook for an additional 45 minutes.

  5. Next, brush on the Sweet Chili Glaze to all sides of the chicken, and continue cooking for 15 minutes.

  6. Remove and sprinkle with a small handful of Diced Green Onions.

  7. Rest for 5 minutes and serve!

I'm new to cooking. How much rub do you use? My wife tells me to put as much I think is needed, then double or triple it.

Howdy Iggy! We feel that the Butcher's Blend Rub isn't overly salty so a generous coat should be fine. You can use the picture of the raw drumsticks seasoned up to get an idea of what yours should look like. Enjoy the rubs and recipe!
